One of Heroic Players Tested Positive for COVID-19
ESL and Heroic have announced that one member of the team has been tested positive for COVID-19. For this reason, all members of the team will participate in the upcoming matches remaining in quarantine.
It is reported that the player has not been in a close contact with anyone besides his teammates. All Heroic players are in good condition and do not have any symptoms. Thus, they will participate in the matches without changes in schedule.
Heroic will start competing at IEM XVI – Cologne in its group stage, where the team will play in Group B. Their first match is scheduled for July 9th, 12:30 PM UK time – their opponent will be one of the Play-In teams.
Earlier we reported that Heroic will compete at the event without their main coach Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen. The organization has not explained the situation, however it is widely assumed that HUNDEN might transition to Astralis to replace Danny "zonic" Sørensen.
